We set out on creating something that would allowdeployments in the most rugged and remote areas in the world. Providing highperformance computing from a ranch or a desert, using only what you need.Something strong that can withstand various climates and locations. Somethingbuilt simple enough that anyone can be trained on how to maintain and service.Something sustainable enough for long term use. Something flexible enough formodular designs and custom modifications where needed. Something that even teensin Wyoming can operate.
CPAX originally came from an acronym for Community PoweredAccess Expander. A project name that constantly reminds us of why we built sucha unit. We want to be able to provide compute power to anyone, anywhere in theworld. We want to expand the level of access to high performance compute thatdeveloping countries, remote areas and even the densest metro cities.
Within 55-gallon oil barrel, we have modified and designed aunit that is dense, and liquid cooled. Allowing for complex applications andfaster analysis at the edge. CPAX can fit 6U + 2U half width servers, has acooling capacity of 6kW, can fit up to 576 cores, support up to 22TB memory,240TB storage, and over 11,000 Tensor TOPS. Taking up less than a square meterof space.
Our expert team has the necessary experiences and knowledgeto create CPAX in a way that allows for customization, using only what theclients need. Ultimately, allowing for cost savings by not overbuying hardwareand equipment. Through our vast partner network, we can gather resources andsupport to assist with AI applications on both hardware and software.
